A team from the Office of Quality Improvement at the Health Resources and Services Administration, led by Suma Nair, delivered over 20 million vaccine doses to communities in need. Nair and her colleagues provided care to Americans, including healthcare providers, who were unable to reach large-scale vaccination events or were not comfortable engaging with them, she told Government Matters.The administration came to Nair’s office because of its knowledge and relationship with 1,400 community health centers across the United States, she said.Nair said they started with existing data to help patients and communities with a focus on equity.
