During the past two decades, Brown has served as a trusted and impartial expert for Congress on financial matters, from investigating hedge fund abuses in the 1990s to examining the laws and policies enacted after the 2008 economic meltdown. She issued recommendations to correct problems, improve program performance and strengthen regulatory oversight of financial institutions.
