Wales said he became acting director at a “pivotal time” after Chris Krebs was fired and that the organization rose to the occasion.He explained that his job now is to look at long-range strategy and policy development for the agency to improve the cybersecurity of the country and global ecosystem.When the government started distributing Covid-19 vaccines in late 2020, Wales led the successful effort to prevent adversaries from exploiting the fragility of the supply chain.
